※was right → 用過去式代表那時候說的事情。

※I think she was right. 我覺得她那時候是對的！還那個時候的她一個清白！

 

Growing up's a waste of time

長大就是在浪費時間

※growing → V+ing 動名詞當主詞，為名詞的角色，所以當單數用，Growing up is a waste of time.

※Smoking is not good for your health. 抽煙對你的健康不好。

 

So I think I'll fly away

所以我想我會就這麼飛走 

※fly away → 飛走，這個很常被拿來當歌名的片語啊！

 

Set a course for brighter days

為更美好的未來做打算

※set → 設置；安排

※all set → 都安排好啦！都搞定啦！

※course → 課程；過程；道路；航線

※brighter → bright 明亮的，加er變成更明亮的，更光明的未來

 

Find the second star, I'm soaring

我會找到更閃亮的第二顆星，我在翱翔

※soaring → 翱翔的

 

Then straight on to the morning

然後期待明天的早晨

※straight on → 往前直走；一直往前走

※straight A → 全部都是A！很好的成績！
