One of the chief stereotypes about wearing glasses is a sign that a person is intelligent and well-read.

關於戴眼鏡的主要刻板印象之一是聰明與博學的象徵。

One of the chief stereotypes (about wearing glasses) is a sign → 這邊的is是指one，在眾多刻板印象當中之一，所以為單數，會考喔！考試記得要找到主詞，常常會誤會成stereotypes為主詞，然後就扣3分了！

※Wearing glasses → 動名詞當主語為《單數》，若為肯定句的話會是：Wearing glasses means you are smarter! 戴眼睛意味著你更聰明！

※延：Wearing glasses is common. Wearing一樣為單數的主詞唷！所以用is。

※smarter → smart聰明的比較級，更聰明。

※chief → adj.形容詞。首要的；主要的。n.名詞。領袖、首領。

※stereotype 美 /ˈsteriətaɪp/ → n.名詞。刻板印象。這邊會用複數加s是因為，one of the ...其中一個，所以是很多刻板印象（複數）當中的一個為...！

※sign → n.名詞。象徵；指示；標誌；符號。

※intelligent 美 /ɪnˈtelɪdʒənt/  → adj.形容詞。聰明的；有智力的。

※well-read 美 /ˌwel ˈred/ → adj.形容詞。博學的。
